What's the current problem?

Tickets ≠ Attendees

Clubs know who bought the ticket — not who ended up sitting in the seat. This means a loss of up to 40% of fan emails / profiles on a given matchday.

Lack of in-stadium engagement

93% of fans at football matches go on their phones, yet very rarely are they engaging in those moments with the club they are there to see.

Limited fan feedback and data

Once inside the stadium, insights disappear. Clubs can’t capture fan opinions, feedback, or behaviour.

How does IDSeat help us save money?

Fan Emails

The current price of obtaining a fan email currently varies from €3-€15.

IDSeat provides a much cheaper way to collect a fan's email for your CRM.

Feedback

Feedback is one of the hardest factors to collect. Post-match surveys have low response rates and agencies charge huge fees.

IDSeat targets fans in the moment and obtains valuable feedback on every matchday.

Segmentation

The cost of not segmenting your audience is high, the cost of segmenting your audience through an agency/company is even higher.

IDSeat helps bridge this gap by collecting the needed data points for you.

How does IDSeat help us make money?

Fan Engagement

More engaged fans spend more, return more often, and are easier to market to.

Not to mention the revenue gained from putting a new product launch (or any other activation) in front of a fan at just the right moment.

In-Seat Ordering

In-Seat ordering has been shown to drive a 20% uplift in matchday revenue by allowing fans to order without leaving their seat.

IDSeat acts as a seat-level access layer, linking fans to an existing in-seat ordering experience where clubs already offer one.

Sponsorship Asset

For years, clubs have sold the same stadium assets to clubs.

IDSeat offers a new digital asset with room for sponsor placement and activations, that fans will actually look at every matchday.

How does it actually work?

FAQs

Answers to questions you might have about IDSeat.

What is IDSeat?

IDSeat is a seat-based fan engagement platform that lets fans interact with clubs directly from their seat (via NFC tags). Clubs use IDSeat to run activations, collect fan data, and drive matchday revenue through a single, easy-to-use system.

Do fans need to download an app?

No. It’s completely web-based — fans simply tap or scan their seat tag to access everything instantly.

What can a club use IDSeat for?

• In-seat fan engagement
• Direct fan data capture for CRM and marketing
• New digital sponsorship asset to sell to sponsors
• Live match info
• To increase fan spending at the stadium

Do we need to do anything?

IDSeat is built to take the hassle away from clubs, hence it's built to run with minimal club input - from making the NFC tags to building and building the web-app, that's all on us. The only point where the club needs to get involved is letting us know what data you want to collect and actually attaching the tags to the seats in the stadium, which takes roughly 5-10 seconds per seat.

How long does getting started take?

From our first point of contact, fans can be tapping their seats and getting access to the web app and it's features within 2 weeks.

Who owns the data?

The club does. IDSeat acts only as a GDPR-compliant data processor. This is set-up this way so that the club can use the data for their own analysis, for their CRM, to build fan profiles, and to share with sponsors.

Can we test it first?

Absolutely - we offer free pilots up to 200 seats so that you can test it out for a match and see whether you like it. Just simply send us an email at santeri@idseat.com.

Where do you place it on the seat?

The NFC tag is usually placed on the back of the seat in front, however, it can also be on the arm rest, next to the seat, or really anywhere where the fan can reach it. We can also help you evaluate your space, and where it would be best placed.

What if we share a stadium?

The tag can be made generic, such that all entities playing in the venue can utilise it (each entity has their own customised web-app). One day the tag shows AC Milan's web-app, the next day it's Inter Milan's.

How permanent are the tags?

The tags are designed to be able to withstand multiple scenarios.

They can be kept on the seats for up to 3 years, yet likewise can be removed without any residue at any point.
