Who are we?

We’re a start-up based out of Amsterdam driven by the motivation to make the stadium experience more fun for the fan, and more data-driven for the club.

Having worked for rightsholders, sponsors, tech companies, and simply being fans - we're uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between fans and clubs.

We believe in doing good work that makes a difference — and building features that are simple, efficient, and user friendly.

Our 3 Core Principles

Do The Right Thing

We believe doing good and doing well should always go hand in hand.

Fan First

Everything we build starts with the fan experience — simple, seamless, and built around real needs, not features.

Simplicity Always

Less setup. Less noise. We focus on doing a few things but doing them really well.

FAQs

Answers to questions you might have about IDSeat.

What is IDSeat?

IDSeat is a seat-based fan engagement platform that lets fans interact with clubs directly from their seat (via NFC tags). Clubs use IDSeat to run activations, collect fan data, and drive matchday revenue through a single, easy-to-use system.

Do fans need to download an app?

No. It’s completely web-based — fans simply tap or scan their seat tag to access everything instantly.

What can a club use IDSeat for?

• In-seat fan engagement
• Direct fan data capture for CRM and marketing
• New digital sponsorship asset to sell to sponsors
• Live match info
• To increase fan spending at the stadium

Do we need to do anything?

IDSeat is built to take the hassle away from clubs, hence it's built to run with minimal club input - from making the NFC tags to building and building the web-app, that's all on us. The only point where the club needs to get involved is letting us know what data you want to collect and actually attaching the tags to the seats in the stadium, which takes roughly 5-10 seconds per seat.

How long does getting started take?

From our first point of contact, fans can be tapping their seats and getting access to the web app and it's features within 2 weeks.

Who owns the data?

The club does. IDSeat acts only as a GDPR-compliant data processor. This is set-up this way so that the club can use the data for their own analysis, for their CRM, to build fan profiles, and to share with sponsors.

Can we test it first?

Absolutely - we offer free pilots up to 200 seats so that you can test it out for a match and see whether you like it. Just simply send us an email at santeri@idseat.com.

Where do you place it on the seat?

The NFC tag is usually placed on the back of the seat in front, however, it can also be on the arm rest, next to the seat, or really anywhere where the fan can reach it. We can also help you evaluate your space, and where it would be best placed.

What if we share a stadium?

The tag can be made generic, such that all entities playing in the venue can utilise it (each entity has their own customised web-app). One day the tag shows AC Milan's web-app, the next day it's Inter Milan's.

How permanent are the tags?

The tags are designed to be able to withstand multiple scenarios.

They can be kept on the seats for up to 3 years, yet likewise can be removed without any residue at any point.
